"I just purchased my first boat. 1985 Glasstream 1500 Hydrabass w/ 90hp Yamaha. Was told when i purchased it that it needed a power pack or cdi unit assy. which had already been ordered. After trying not 1 but 2 different used cdi units i'm still not getting fire to the plugs. is it possible thet both units are defective? should i spend $400.00 on a new one or should i look elsewhere for my trouble? Engine has 100 psi compression in all 3 cylinders, Is there a way for me to test my excisting cdi unit? Please help !! my 9 yr old son as well as myself are very excited about the time we will be spending together on lake."
