25% of the time when i turn the key nothing happens. no click no nothing. turn it 2-3 more times and it turns over. i guess it is the solenoid contacts or ignition switch that may need cleaning or replaced. but i cant find the solenoid on the motor. 1992 4.3L gen 2 I believe.

"Peter, I have had the same problem (same motor) for some time. I have replaced the slave solenoid and the ignition switch without curing it. I think the problem on mine is a worn starter solenoid, that sticks. I do not think I will use rebuilt starters anymore."
