"My boat weighs abt 600 kg and is fitted with a Yamaha F100 with a prop size 19 K (Yamaha´s own steel prop, black), no more info found on propeller. Engine RPM´s should be between 5000 - 6000, now it is abt 6100 - 6200. Is this acceptable (with the engine´s health in mind), or will it be better if I changed this to a 21 K? How will performance be affected if size changed?"

"JUST-IN-TIME! Thank you for your respons! Have now tried a 21 prop, and maximum rpm´s fell to 5400-5500, with only me onboard. Is this better, or am I too low now..?"

"to low , you want it around 5900, 6000, by the time you put another couple of people on board and gear ect, it will drop again."

"I was afraid of that, that I was too low now. I have tried another prop today (the third one) a Ballistic Steel 13 3/8 x 19 with cupped blades for more grip. Now I am maxxing out on 5800 and speed is abt 37,5 knots. I think this is the prop for my boat, and I will have enough power for waterskiing etc. Am I right....??"
