I have a 5.0(305)mercr

I have a 5.0(305)mercruiser alpha(gen 2)im losing power steering fluid but im not leaking it into the bilge. I suspect that its leaking into the cooling system through the cooler. I have a light red water discharge on initial startup after it has sat for a day. My question is how difficult is it to replace. it looks like it is pretty well hidden below the motor mount. any suggestions or tips would be appreciated

"There is a bracket holding it to the block. Stand on your head practically to see it. Short tools, bright light and a mirror helps. Also need knuckle bandaides and cold beer for the nerves."

Its not hard to change really once you figure the best contortion needed to get to it.
