"i just bought this malibu boat with a 3.0L mercruiser matched with an alpha 1 outdrive
i have 2 issues i need to adress.
1. when the engine is cold mostly and sometimes hot, when i pin it to take off (pulling a skiier) it sometimes bogs and backfires...
my second and possibly more serious problem is..
sometimes when im cruisin around 2000rpm ill take off and the rpm will begin to rise slowly (like its gaining speed) but the boat dosent go any faster, my boat tops out at 4000rpm and if im at WOT the rpm will still continue to rise..
it dosent just rev up like its in netrual, the rpms just slowly climb, but the boat dosent go any faster!
how serious is this?
