"Can anyone tell me what these

"Can anyone tell me what these are and how they got here? I assume they are the exhaust shutters, but what would cause them to end up here?

hard to tell from the pic but

hard to tell from the pic but it looks like the very tips of 3 or 4 vanes are missing.If the tips are there you either:
sucked up a piece of plastic
stuck a thermostat
clogged up a riser and/or manifold
something caused the water flow to be shut off and caused the melting.

"Not sure what I sucked up or what else melted to cause this. Besides replacing the impeller and water tube coupling I plan to replace the thermostat and figure out where the shutters go and replace them. Anything I am missing? How do I flush the cooling system to make sure there are no more pieces in there? I also melted my trim hoses next to the exhaust manifold. I read that I can remove them from the stern, is that true?

"remove the 2 nuts from the junction block and pull down, use a line wrench for the fittings"
