"I just purchased and installed a new tilt cylinder on my outboard, but have no idea how to bleed it. There is a screw on the rightthat can be accessed throught the notor plate where it bolts to the transom, and on that won't come out near the base of the resevoir. I loosened both fittings at the top and bottom of the cylinder to see if I could get air out to no avail. The pump spins, but doesn't seem to be building much pressure., doesn't seem like the pump is primed? Clueless seems to be the order of the day. I am an ASE Master Automotive Technician, but hydraulics are not my fortea. Thanks in advance for any info."
