2004 yamaha 20 amp fuse blown

Blown fuse stops tilt trim as

Blown fuse stops tilt trim as well as does not allow motor to start. Replaced and worked but later had to turn off the Perko switch then replace fuse to get the fuse from blowing. Where could the short be?

"You are getting a short some where in your boat. I don't think its in the engine compartment.

Trace PERKO switch and its interconnections. some wire loose.

Check your wiring, and think what you touch lately
