2000 F40 with 150 hrs...stored

2000 F40 with 150 hrs...stored 1 1/2 yrs...drained carbs...flushed tank and hose..starts instantley.....put it in gear after warmup and it boggs ..pull back on remote and push ahead and it takes off fine...over 6000rpm...3 pilot screws set at 1 3/4...2 tanks of 91 octane used....thanks Phil

But first check on the fuel pump, do a psi test
you are also messing with the pilot screw, which is changing the sync and vacuum of the carbs."

"I understand,thank you .....I,m going to take it in to my Dealer....I should not have touched the pilot settings..hope I didn,t damage the engine,lean it out too much and hurt the valves..have a bit of white smoke at idle ....as mentioned it only has 150 hrs....feel bad...live and learn"

your wasting ur money on 91!
your motor does not have high enough of compression to use that stuff

i recommend buying a shop manual before u mess with things
