"your funny, right here on this site, but I should add I'm not real impressed with the Sierra kit. There is a carb shop in Wa. state Joes Carburetor they are Experts at carbs, you could send them yours for rebuild or order a kit from them, I just ordered a choke for my carb and they are going to pop it in the mail for me, super nice people."

In my opinion!!!

WHen working on mercruiser products you repair/ replace any and all parts with mr=ercruiser parts.
The only exception in my opinion is gaskets.

If there is one thing I have never had an issue with is OEM parts. Now of course as with anything failures do occur but rarley with Merc parts.

As far as carbs go if it is a rochester any kit will probably work fine but the japenese rochesters may be difficult to get the correct parts aftermarket.

I myself only buy thru merc.
