"My 1977 7.5hp honda has a friction problem with the steering. Even after completely removing the obvious friction nut and greasing the plate that the nut clamps down on, it is very hard to turn. Is there an easy way to grease the main shaft that the motor actually rotates on? Any suggestions?"

"I'm new to MarineEngine and am not sure how the system works, but I can't find an answer to this question.
This is almost exactly my problem, except my tiller doesn't turn at all! All it does is rock on the rubber mounts. What can I do? B75, S/N 2010880.
I just inherited this motor, and I'm sure I'll have more questions!"
