"port engine runs 3ooo rpm and star. only 2500 at same throtle handle posistion. I know this is not right. Any ideas??? This is a new boat to me. 1995 mercruiser 5.0 with Alpha 1 Gen II sterndrives, pushing a 31 foot Celebrity boat. Thanks for any help."

"First check trottle plates in carb to verify full throttle is being obtained and if not adjust cable.
Second, verify you have same props on both and they are in great condition. Let us know.
