"i have a 1985 ski centurion with a 351 hercules engine, when i start it for the first time that day it will not idle for 5-10 minuts, carb seems to flood untill it warms up then it runs and starts fine all day, i rebuilt the origanal carb three times with no resolution, so i replaced it with a new holley, ive adjusted and checked the choke, changed the water seperators twice, i dont see any water in the fuel, what i do see with the old or new carb is in the first 5-10 minuts while its acting up there will be gas balling off the carb venturies under the choke flap, now i will watch the carb and just as it stops leaking gas from the venturies it will smooth out and run perfect, i noticed when i would pull the old carb or replaced with the new one it would start the next day fine like nothing was wrong, but then continue the problems the next time out, fuel pump problems!!"
