"Boats with fiberglass fuel tanks should be observed for signs of deteriorization of the tank as ethanol is introduced into gasoline supplies. There is some evidence ethanol might be responsible for weakening fiberglass fuel tanks and creating a black gooy substance in fuel systems, possibly seen under a carbuerator. Somehow fuel filters don't seem to get glogged in suspected cases."
