"After I installed a refurbished lower unit to my yamaha prov150 and when I took it out on the lake, I put it in drive (forward) and it went into reverse, when I put it in reverse it goes forward. Did I do something wrong? Or, where I bought it from did they put something in backwards? Help!!!"

Guy I got it from states its the right one. I'm using the same prop I had on before. How can you tell if its a counter rotation lower unit (besides the way its turning)? Are there any markings on it?

How does it perform? If you have a counter rotation then when you're going forward it should perform like crap. (Wrong roation prop on hub will fill like you're dog paddling.).
