"Hi,
I have a 1984 four winns 190 with a 170 mercrusier. I just started it up for the season and water is leaking from the front on the heat exchanger. I made sure the end was tighten well, it seems a little loose at first, but it still leaks. I ran it at idle for about 30 mins and it did not run hot or anything. What should I do first. Change gasket or end plate; maybe something with the exchanger...???? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

"there is a gasket in there just change it, Its rather easy and I had to fix mine all I did was pull it apart and flip the rubber seal cause one side was rather stiff. you'll see what Im talking about when you open it up just be rady for the water to come out of it..."
