So could I change the prop and fix the gear ratio problem? I will probaly have to change the prop anyway.

"You can't "fix" a gear ratio with a prop, only changing to the right gears. OTOH, ebay should have something for you. I bought a reverse gear for a 1.84:1 Alpha One Gen II for a lot less than new, and it was NOS."
