"Would anyone know how many gallon tank would be in a 1986 chris craft scorpion 187.The fuel gauge is acting up,and it will be looked at,but I have topped up the tank and want to get out this weekend.Thanks

"Your manual should say, and how much did you put in at the fill up? If you can get to the tank, measure the length, width and height in inches, doesn’t have to be exact, just get close within a couple of inches if access is hard.

Take those three numbers and multiply them together.
For example: 40 x 25 x 20 = 20,000 cubic inches. 1 US gallon is equal to 231 cubic inches.

Divide your result by 231 to get the size of the tank in gallons.

20,000/231 = 85.6 gallons. This number should be higher than what you put into the tank if it was not empty.
