What is the max. rpms for 1989

What is the max. rpms for 1989 454 mag bravo one and other than prop what defines max rpms.

You should not run at or over max rated rpm for any length of time. Max rpm for a marine engine is usually less than that of its auto or truck cousin.
This is because marine engines are typically running at 50-60 %, or more, of their rated hp all time; as opposed to a car or truck engine that usually runs at perhaps 15-20 % of rated power with occasional short high power bursts.
