I don't know whether or not its a Cleveland or a Windsor. I'm looking for the timing specs.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

"It's probably Windsor and the timing should be shown on one of the valve covers (may have a sticker on it). Otherwise, 6 - 8 degrees BTDC will work."

I was told that a Windsor is a big block and the Cleveland was a small block. What would be some of the characteristics of either one. Remember that this is a marine engine application. The engine doesn't have valve covers.

"Google 351 Windsor and click on the link that's from www.vintage-mustang.com ("") to see the difference. The Windsor has valve covers that are basically straight and use 5 bolts to hold them down. I haven't seen a Clevland in a boat. Windsor is from the 289/302 family (small block) and the Cleveland is from the 335 family (big small block)."
