"I have a Holley 2brl carb on my 3.0L. The guy I bought it from said it needs tuning but it is fairly new.

Does anyone else have this carb? Know where I can find some info on it? (i tried the usuals) How do I go about adjusting it?

All the older 3.0's I've dealt with had the standard Rochester 2bbl. Was suprised the other day when I raised the hatch on a buddy's new Volvo 3.0 and it had a "half a Holley". I'd just assumed new engines would have Fuel Injection! If it's original on your engine I'd recommend buying a shop manual. Naturally the best, Merc are d@mmed expensive. But Sealoc, Chilton, etc are pretty good and if you got a boat <u>your'e gonna need a manual!

"I've got the clymer shop manual for my boat but it just has info about the original carb in there. The Holley is slightly different.

Actually, it might not need that much adjustment. It cranked up fine today and I ran it through the paces. All was ok."
