Engine swap 2000 50 for a 1978 305

I ran across a great deal on a

I ran across a great deal on a newer 305 bravo engine and want to repower an older 1978 305. What will I need to change-buy or fabricate. The new engine is complete from bell housing to serpintine belt to exaust manifolds and risers.
Any help will be appreciated. I really would like to use as many of the newer parts a possible.
 
check that the bell housing is

check that the bell housing is the same around the mounts but to the best of my knowledge it should all be the same

You'll need to use the Old bellhousing cover(rear motor mounts)........

There's a Good possibility that you'll run into Flywheel/Starter Issues.......

And,.... You'll have to Up-date the Coupler with an aftermarket Conversion Unit....
It uses the Later model crankshaft bolt pattern on the Old Style coupler that's Needed for your Old Style drive......

There'll be Plenty More fitment Issues,....
Those are only the 1s on the top of my head.......
