"Hello i have a 17 ft fiberform, with a mercruiser 165, my sterndrive is gone, a guy says he has a sterndrive of of his 1967, it is 160, he says it should work, does anbody know if this is true, any help would be great, Thanks Tracy"

"serial numbers off the unit would be the cat's meow to tell for sure. I *think* 67 is right around the "O" model change over to the "1" drive that you probably have....if it is identical externally (splines, hydraulic trim ram attachment point) then it's probably a match. The gear ratio inside should be compatible."
