I have a 96 5.7 Gi 290 D/P drive with a DP/C1 upper gearcase. The transom assembly inside of the boat is marked DP/S on the ID plate, is this normal? I ask because the dealers who look up the rear seal for the primary shaft keep giving me p/n 958860 which fits over the front U joint yoke OK on the inside but it's OD is about 1/8 too small for the bellhousing.
