"I had a standard float arm sender in my boat when I converted to a 2004 496MAG. I read that they prefer a WEMA linear style sender (240-30 ohm) unit so I purchased and installed one. With the original sender, it kinda worked but gave regular irratic readings. When I installed the WEMA unit, I now get an alarm that the sensor is failed high. I tried resetting all sensors, calibrating to "Default" and no improvement.
This smartcraft stuff is supposed to be great bu it is driving me crazy (I have a similar problem with my speedo - pitot). Any ideas?
