2002 4stroke 225 hesitates at 4300 rpms

"The original block lost oil p

"The original block lost oil pressure and wiped out the mains and the block. So I had purchased a long block and installed it. Firing it up on the hose it purred like a kitten. So then I water tested it, i got on plane with no problems, but once I hit 4300 rpms it started hesitating almost like it went into limp mode. I get no idiot lights on the dash. Anything under 4300 rpms it runs fine. Please help."
 
How many hours on the new head

How many hours on the new head? Did you replace the control unit? Did you put the head on yourself or have a shop do it?
Has the new head ever been up past 5200?

"Nevermind thanks anyways, I found the problem. The wires on the temp. sensor were rubbing on the flywheel. After I fixed the broken wire it ran perfect."
