Could someone assist with suitable starter motors for my Mercruiser 470's they are 83 - 85 models serial number 6037878 and they use the Prestolite starter with remote solenoid. If I can not source the original could I retrofit the starter from the 3.7 with solenoid mounted on it, to my engines. Any information would be appreciated part numbers or companies that supply them and ship to Australia. Thanks Trev"
