"Hi everyone.. Newbie here..Maybe someone could help me with this strange problem
Both of my Tachs work smooth and accurate up to 3200 rpms..As I excelerate above 3200 they start to jump all over the tach range from 3300 to 6000 rpms and when I punch it to full throttle they begin to smooth out and work fine...
I have replaced the distributor pickups, Ignition amplifier boxes, caps, rotors...It seems to be some kind of noise or interference.. I also replaced the wires, New tachs,...I give up...

Any Help Will Be Appreciated"

"Hi, Engines are running great..Power timed it and the mark was steady at 34 degrees... Checked all grounds and grounded both engines together with #2 battery wire,,. If i disconnected the ground wire from the distributor it wouldn't start...so I know it isn't a gounding problem at least from the distributor"
