"Started to use boat this spring and got an over heat alarm, so I pulled the water punp and the impeller was shot, replaced it with a new kit and changed the thermostat at the same time. engine preforms fine up to about three quarter throttle but if I take it up higher than that it sounds the alarm, if I back down and let the engine idle the alarm stops pretty quick. The heads felt to me to be about the same temp before and during a overheat alarm. I mainly use the boat for fishing but it's hot now and some tubing and sking sound good, but I am concerned that the added load will cause the engine to heat up quicker. Any help would be great. thanks"
