"Engine dies as if I turned the key off. Coast to a stop and starts right back up, runs fine up to about 2500 rpm. I had this problem last year. I changed the fuel filter and thought the problem was fixed then yesterday everything fine, even under hard accel. But then same problem-dies at wot. I took fuel filter off and cut it open, and it looked clean and no sign of H2O. This boat has less than 100 hrs on it. everything looks like new. Any help would be appreciated."

Your engine may be going into Guardian mode due to high temp, low oil, low water pressure.

You may need the dealer to read the codes.

I'm not getting any

I'm not getting any alarms, all guages read normal. When it dies it's just like someone turned the key off. Unfortunately I alway disconnect the battery when I park the boat. The codes would be lost. I read on the internet that Mercruiser has an updated and assumingly better fuel pump that will retro back to earlier models. There is a bulletin about it.
Anyone know why they changed the design of the fuel pump?
