"OK, getting ready to replace

"OK, getting ready to replace all the bellows on my Mercruiser, the Seloc manual advised a bellows spreader is necessary, anything that I can use or make instead? My Mirah is fifteen years old and this is the first time a bellows has went bad, hate to but a tool to use once every 15 years."

Spreader is not needed. I left my bellows in sun for an hour and they were plenty flexable and easy to get on. Do use bellows adheasive.
Also ebasicpower.com has full transom service kits for a great deal.

You will have trouble with u j

You will have trouble with u joint bellows ring
and should use shop tool for install. I found a pipe just the right size and drove it in like a seal.
