Help identifying my engine

Can anyone help. I have a Vol

Can anyone help. I have a Volvo Penta 4 cylinder engine. I am trying to figure out what engine it is for getting parts. The problem is that the engine tag i can find is on the valve cover and apparently comes from a 2006 engine according to the serial number yet the block is an 84. So now i am perplexed as what components are from what engine.
 
There should be a brass tag on

There should be a brass tag on the block near the starter that will give you that info .

wow. can't believe I didn

wow. can't believe I didn't find that. Just removed the starter and had it rebuilt. I will check it when I get back in town this weekend.
