I have a 2004 Yamaha Vmax 150
I have a 2004 Yamaha Vmax 150 HPDI. The motor will run fine for about 10 minutes at full throttle. When going at full throttle longer than 5 minutes the motor will cut out for a couple seconds then cut back in jerking the boat around. Then it gets worse and does this constantly at and speed above a quarter throttle. But then if you let the motor sit for a while the motor will run great for about 5-10 minutes then the problem returns. It feels like the motor is cutting out on some type of safety but there is no indication. I am lost on this one. Anyone have any ideas?
