How do you remove the strator

How do you remove the strator to be able to replace and remove the ignition trigger?

"Jim, remove the flywheel and

"Jim, remove the flywheel and there are 2 screws (I think it's 2) that hold the stator onto the base plate. They are located on the "ring" of the stator directly accross from where the windings are.

Probably put in with a touch of "loc-tight" so don't be afraid to use a little pressure to remove them - then the stator should lift right out and free up the trigger.

If you are careful unhooking the linkage from the old trigger, it shouldn't need to be adjusted and re-timed when you install the new one...."
