"I recently got a free boat with a "newer" repower. It has a 5.7 mercruiser EFI bravo drive that won't turn over at all. I charged the batteries and put in 8 new plugs in and connected all the wires etc. I connected everything, powered up the boat and when I turned the key on the ignition there was a mechanical winding sound and then a loud click.....and that's it. There is a strong smell of gas after a few attempts so I am assuming that there is fuel going into the engine. I am a little lost as this is my first boat. Any advice would help I am attempting to save some cash so I'll do what I can."
