"'04 Yam 90hp 4-stroke. Has been no problem. Today cannot get above 3900 rpm. Throttle lever doesn't seem to push far enough forward but I took cover off remote control box and things look fine. Something on engine? At end of forward throttle push, carb butterflies still have a distance to move. Thanks for your ideas."
 
Time to start tracing the cabl

Time to start tracing the cable from the engine to the control. First check the carbs by pull the cable connection and making sure they open fully. Next try the control. Move the lever without connecting it to the carbs and see if there is any binding.
 
i have a 05 4 stroke that idle

i have a 05 4 stroke that idles fine but will not acselerate. fuel injected need to find the spec. fuel presure at the rail
