Does anyone know where my igni

Does anyone know where my ignition system coil is. Is it on the engine somewhere or somewhere else? Merc. 5.7 year 2000.

It is likely a small rectangul

It is likely a small rectangular device sitting port side top right behind the intake manifold. It may not look anything like the cylindrical coils ofyears ago.
Just follow the hot wire from the center of the distributor.
