I have a 1987 Ski Cen

"Hello,
I have a 1987 Ski Centurion with a PCM 351 that was running like a champ yesterday. The boat is cold blooded so I have to warm it up before it will idle...took it out to the lake today, warmed it up, and when I put it back to idle it sputtered out and died. Every time I attempted to restart it would sputter out. Eventually battery died and I went home :-( Anyone have any idea why this would happen?"

Carb is dirty or needs adjusting.

1. There may be water in the float bowl. Drain it by removing one of the lower float bowel screws.
2. The float may need adjusting. Have a carburetor shop look at it.

"Thanks a lot. There was about 5 gallons of water in my gas tank. Must have been from sitting half full all winter. Heard those aluminum tanks create a lot of condensation. Had to clean the carb, siphon the tank, and replace the fuel water separator a couple of times."
