Alpha One Gen II Bellows Replacement

"Attempting for the 1st time G

"Attempting for the 1st time Gimbal bearing and all 3 bellows replacement. Any tricks of the trade would be greatly appreciated and also what special tools will I have to have to install the pieces.

This is my 1st post, but I believe i have read almost all of the other posts. You guys are great and the info is the best. Thanks in advance"

"I used wooden shims from a home center to ease the out drive off, I believe I placed them just below the center bolts. I stretched the exhaust bellows over I believe it was a 4"PVC (I'm not sure now you'll have to measure the diameter and pick one that's a little larger), coupling the night before and it slid on easily. The water pickup hose has to be the exact same length as the old one or it may kink, although sometimes kinky is good, A slide hammer can be borrowed for free at auto zone to remove the bearing, I drove the new one in with a chunk of aluminum bar careful just to hit the outer ring gradually tapping around the circumference until it was home, changes tone. that's all I got, hope it helps
