"Hey everyone, I have a 2005 40hp 2-stroke. Wether the engine is cold or warm(been running) the engine wants to spit and sputter and sometimes it will cut off. Ive adjusted the idle and it helped a little but it still wants to spit and sputter and cut off. Also when I have it at about half throttle trying to get on plane(if I hold it there for about 2 sec.) it acts like it gets an extra shot of gas every 1 to 2 sec. It will do that until I give it more gas and get on plane. Then it runs fine. Im wondering if it has something to do with the fuel filter or the carbs. If someone can give me some advice it would be greatly appreciated! Thanks"
