"During my recent engine change (3.8L to 350) the tilt and trim stopped working. When the buttons to operate them are pushed, the relays just click. Where could the problem be? Both worked just prior to the engine swap. thanks, Jeff"

"Is it the electric worm gear type or the hydraulic type? Either way I would look for a connection fault. It sounds like maybe you missed a ground somewhere. If you don't see the problem, test for voltage at the pump motor with the relay engaged. If you have 12(+), test for ground (-). If you have both, with adequate current, it may be time to get the motor chedked out. Keep in mind that if you have the worm gear type, you could have a seized gear or shaft which would not allow the motor to turn. Good luck, Rick"
