High exhaust temps

I have a 6 cylender B series 2

I have a 6 cylender B series 210 h.p. and am experiancing high exhaust temps at rpm's below 1400. Have replaced raw water pumps as per Cummins but still have same problem. Engines have 1500 hours. I run the engines at 1650 rpm's and have no problem at that speed.

"Cummins 504 has temp of 190 plus decrees at 2000rpm, is that too hot. If so, could that be caused by a bad Thermostat?"

High exhaust temps at low rpm can be cause by inj timing,inj nozzle drip,or fuel pump delivery valve problems.[ unusual].What do you call high??. Coolant temp will be effected by raw water pump flows but not exh gas temp [in small engines]. Cheers, Tassie.."
