"I have a '68 evinrude 55hp electric shift that I need to replace the lower unit. I have gathered from previous post that '68 -'69 55hp, '70 - '71 60hp, and '72 65 hp evinrudes have the same hydro-electric shift lower units. Can anyone confirm this info? Also, does the same hold true for johnson? Are there any models I may have left out?
Please help me with this! It's greatly appreciated and may save me some money."
