"Hello everyone, I am new to the forum and have a question. I pulled the old distributor out of an 89 maxum 3.0 and installed a 97 or later EST ditributor and it starts right up but now I have to get the timing right on it. I know it is to be 1 degree before top dead center. My manual only shows a DDIS ignition and not a EST. Do I just bypass the shift interupter like on a DDIS system. There is only the normal purple wire for hot and the gray for ground coming out. The other side of the module has a factory rubber cover on it. Any help would be appreciated. THX"
