"My 1987 25hp evinrude has a serial # sticker on it but you cant read anything, is there another place to get the # from?
Also, the motor runs great at half throttle but try and open it up and it starts cutting out and looks as if the new plugs are trying to foul out. Coils checked good, replaced the fuel pump diaphram, new plugs, went through the carb. None of this mattered. Could the CDI box cause it to not run at higher rpms?
