"hey all i need help with my 1984 cobra 800 stringer outdrive mecanical shift.I'm trying to put upper and lower together but don't know the right mesurement for the shifting cable,it has to cables in 1 housing. i've been told that the short cable should be 6 inches the other longer 1 9 inches.but mine seems to be longer then that like 12 inches.any 1 know the right lengths of the two would help greatly ....tom"
