Mercarb sticking float

the float on my carb is sticking and i was wondering if anyone could tell me how to release it?

"Probably can't do it from outside the carb. I wouldn't recommend percussive dignostics, either.

If it's stuck in one position, I would see if it's gas logged(if it's metal, this can happen if it has a leak) or there may be a problem with the pivot. You'll need to remove the top for this."
