" I have white smoke coming out of
the valve cover vents,also oil is
blown out. Had engine rebuilt over
winter. Don't know old manifolds
are.

White smoke from the exhaust area is usually a good sign of bad manifolds and/or elbows. If you can't touch your manifolds without getting burnt, good chance they're bad. Sounds like you have some other problem also with oil blowing. Did you make sure your not getting water into your oil system? Good luck.
