"I have houseboat with twin 14

"I have houseboat with twin 145a's and 280 outdrives. The starboard engine idles fine and from a cold start heats up without issue and levels off around 180 if gauge is right. Throttle up to 1500-1800rpm and engine starts to heat up. 2000-2400 engine will overheat. I have replaced the raw water impeller and the coolant levels look good. Can someone give me a kind of punch sheet of how to track down cooling issues on this engine.

Thanks,
Scott"

"Check the raw water hose conn

"Check the raw water hose connector in the outdrive, the raw water strainer by the coolant expansion tank, the oil cooler, and check that the exhaust manifold is not plugged-up with mud and scale (if it is, replace it rather than trying to clean it).

BTW, the coolant temperature range for your engine is 180ºF to 198ºF."
