200 hpdi missing like kill switch getting pressed on and off

"Engine started missing and high speed occasionally, then within hours couldn't even go above idle. It's almost like when it was missing that the kill was getting pressed.
Any Ideas of the problem before I start digging."

"Darren, that is indicative of a bad trigger, but since ignition parts can be quite expensive, this is not a "swap it out to find what's wrong job"...

Best to troubleshoot the entire ignition system...."
